Daily Fish supplies has been around a long time! Since 1984 where we started trading from Exmouth market we have grown into a very reputable supplier to some of London’s top restaurants and professional kitchens, such as Michelin star restaurants, hotels, casinos, sports stadiums, universities and contract caterers; all within the M25.

A bit about this role

As one of our Hygiene Operatives you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers are kept safe by keeping our working environment clean. You will be reporting to the Technical Manager and working within our Hygiene team. Being a food environment we take hygiene very seriously, you will need to ensure you comply with strict hygiene standards at all times. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of our production areas, machinery and external areas of the site. This will be anything from a full deep clean which will involve taking machinery apart, using chemicals and routine daily cleaning. As you can imagine, this role is naturally physical which will help keep you fit where you are on your feet moving around throughout the shift. The aim of this role is to keep everything spotless, signed off and maintained to the highest standard to help ensure we continue to achieve our BRC accreditation.

You’ll have

  • Previous food warehouse and cleaning experience would be advantageous, preferably in a fresh produce/chilled environment, however not essential as full training will be given
  • Good time management, punctual and reliable
  • You must be physically fit and healthy as the role requires you to be able lift objects up to 20 kilogrammes
  • Accurate, with good organisational skills
  • Demonstrates drive and positive approach to work

  • Able to work well independently, enthusiastic and self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
