My role is Business Unit Director at Daily Fish. I have worked for Bidfresh for the past 13 years, having started in Telesales, before moving from a sales role to Sales Manager, to now running the site. I love the fact that we have some of the best seafood, meat and produce that this country has to offer and that we supply our products to some of the most incredible restaurants, hotels and sport stadiums. People in the business are great and always happy to support other which is a great culture to have. I feel that working for Bidfresh it gives you the opportunity to progress your career provided that you are prepared to do the hard yards and make it known that you want to progress. It is the best company I have ever worked for.

As the Factory Manager at Kingfisher Brixham, I manage a team on the day shift, dealing with the factory, goods in, deli and freezer areas. My role is to coordinate everything from weekly rotas, to system traceability, stock and quality checks from suppliers to being a fire warden and first aider for the site and making sure everyone is wearing the correct PPE. I have worked for Bidfresh for over ten years now and have progressed in my role, from joining in the Telesales night shift team, to moving to a Supervisor then being the Factory Manager for the past three years. I was rewarded for my hard work and dedication with promotions and really feel that you get out what you put in at Bidfresh. The management team at Kingfisher Brixham are like a close family, the people are friendly and professional and the flexibility I am allowed in my role means I have a good work/life balance. The work is really varied and if you want to learn, there are always the opportunities to do so.

My role is Brand Marketing Manager for Kingfisher Brixham. I have worked here for just over three years. I joined as a Sales and Marketing Executive, working across both areas for the first few months of my employment. As the marketing aspect of my role naturally progressed, my title changed to Marketing Executive, then fast forward a couple of years and I am now Brand Marketing Manager! I like working for Bidfresh, and specifically Kingfisher Brixham, because the environment is really fun and friendly. I work with lots of supportive people who are always willing to help me out. There’s a lot of variety and creative freedom in my job role and I enjoy that no day is the same. Sometimes I’m filming fish filleting tutorials, then I’m designing our latest seafood brochures, or guiding tours of Brixham Fish Market! I also feel valued and recognised for the work that I do in local marketing for Kingfisher Brixham, which is really motivating when you work in a self-sufficient independent role.
